Many people are still trapped or missing in the building and currently 176 people are confirmed dead

PUT A CORK IN IT CLIFF!

of the cork tree, which is harvested by hand without harming or killing the tree, kind of like getting wool from a sheep.
Once harvested, the bark regenerates, making it a renewable and sustainable resource.

Cork is environmentally preferable to leather as it comes from a lower carbon impact source (tree bark) and does not use animal products in its manufacture (a vegan product).
The environmental concerns associated with leather include the energy and carbon intensity of generating animal products and the chemicals used in the leather tanning process that can be damaging to human health and the environment.
Cork is a naturally beautiful and a greener alternative to leather.

To make CLIFF belts, layers of cork are laminated to fabric, creating a durable, lightweight and supple material.
Each belt is handmade and individually crafted.
How does it wear? Our cork wears beautifully over time, distressing much like leather but without the weight - it can even be machine washed at 30˚C.
Due to the unique nature of the material, our belts fit very comfortably and cast a thinner silhouette than most leather equivalents.

Paper No 9
Creates alternative Leather Derived Fashion & Accessories from Recycled Paper & Natural Substrates, including Canvas,Linen & Denim

The Ready-to-Wear-Away Dress has the look and feel of leather, like most of Paper No. 9′s other pieces but it is actually made of kraft paper.
However, over time, body heat and natural wear cause the outer skin to slowly disintegrate, revealing a secret layer underneath.

Hand-written notes featuring inspirational quotes from legends such as Gandi and TuPac Shakur.
Each panel of the dress has its own quote, hidden until time reveals it.

The Name
From ancient mythology to contemporary lore the number 9 symbolizes transformation and fulfillment.
Cloud No. 9 is the place of pure bliss.
Love Potion No. 9 brings true love
Paper No. 9 brings all-natural leather-like fabrics made from recycled paper.

The Process
The paper is gently treated with a mixture of natural oils and conditioners and left to cure until it feels “just right”.
It’s then heat pressed and applied to denim. Finally, it is coated with a natural sealant, protecting it from humidity and wear.

By treating recycled shipping cardboard with natural oils, heat, and a good massage, then backing it with canvas for strength, the green-minded label has created a velvety-soft “fabric” that can be used to stylish effect and akin to hides - The product just gets better with age.

Made with love in Brooklyn, NY using biodegradable, non-toxic, and cruelty free products.
Substance matters.

Wings of Desire

Growing up surrounded by weird and wonderful antiques in her father’s auction house in Christchurch, New Zealand, Jessica McCormack developed a magpie’s eye for collecting beautiful objects.

Her frst, unoffcial foray into jewellery design saw her creating pieces to order out of objects found on antique sourcing trips. Her unorthodox education in jewellery was continued with an internship at Sotheby’s London’s Jewellery department, where what she learnt about antique jewellery techniques would become central to her own work.

Inevitably, her return to New Zealand to take the helm at the family frm was delayed when she established her own diamond jewellery house. Since 2007, Jessica McCormack has been based at her own appointment-only salon in London’s Clerkenwell. From this extraordinary space, part Marie Antoinette’s salon, part Andy Warhol’s Factory, Jessica has designed fve diamond jewellery collections, including her latest, XIV. Driven by quality, each piece of Jessica McCormack Jewellery is handmade in London and the diamonds are sourced through ethical means.

“For me, making jewellery is about creating miniature sculptures. Each piece is the end result of my desire to turn what I perceive to be beautiful into a tiny piece of art. I would like people to re-evaluate their perception of fne jewellery and precious stones, breaking down barriers on how diamonds are considered, worn and used, with emphasis on luxury being about personal experience, appreciation and knowledge.”
